Since 1985, AnkiSOFT Software developes software to design infrastructure projects. isuCAD has been developed for water supply (drinking water) network design. It is for Drawing / Modelling / Planning / Design / Analyze / Simulation of the water supply network. The software works under AutoCAD or ZWCAD.

DRAWING the NETWORK

Design/analyze method can be DEAD-END or HARDY-CROSS. For the HARDY-CROSS method, the software works with EPANET 2.0.

It is possible to arrange the drawing style by using STYLE MANAGER, so you can use different drawing style in different projects.

OPEN LAYER command can open all the necessary layers that the software needs.

You can define/draw/edit/delete/move Demand Node (DN), can change some/all properties of DNs. The software will write; DNno and the ground elevation for each DN on the drawing.

You can find any DN by searching the DNno, can change the location of DNno, can renumber some/all DNnos from a specified number.

You can define/draw/edit/delete pipes, can change the direction of pipes, can change some/all properties of pipes. The software will write; diameter, length and length-coefficient for each pipe on the drawing.

You can define/draw/delete embedded reservoir, elevated reservoir, pump-station, hydrophore.

You can define/draw/delete point-discharge to any pipes.

Our software produces EPANET.INP file. You can use it in EPANET or WaterCAD directly. And also, if you have any EPANET.INP file exported from EPANET or WaterCAD, you can transfer all the network and information to our software directly too.

ERROR CHECKING

You can check weather there is any mistake in the network model. You can find and you can correct them.

Such as; same DNnos, 1st-phase – 2nd-phase – existing pipe connections, pipe connections from/to DNs.

DESIGN CRITERION

You can define;

Elevation of coming pipe to the reservoir
Bottom elevation of the reservoir
Allowable minimum-operation-pressure for the network
Allowable maximum-static-pressure for the network
Peak factor for the network
Fire discharge values and minimum pipe diameters for main, primary and secondary pipes
For each Type-DIAMETER; type-name, material (concrete, reinforced concrete, PVC, ACB, Steel, HDPE, Ribloc, …), inner diameter, allowable maximum velocity, design formula (William Hazen, Ludin, …), “C” values (roughness coefficient) for the formula.

HYDRAULIC DESIGN

During design works; all the information on the drawing will be send to calculation, the calculation software will do hydraulic calculations, then all the calculated information will be send back to the drawing to show the final situation.

You can repeat this process, until you reached to the situation that you want.

STEADY STAYE ANALYSIS

Steady State Analysis depends on maximum hourly pik demand.

During analiysis, the software recommends diameter for the pipes. The software also informs you about the pipes having higher velocity and pressures than design-criterion.

WATER SUPPLY NETWORK SIMULATION (Extended Period Simulation, EPS)

Water Supply Network Simulation starts when the water tank is full. A pattern having 72-hours can be used.

During simulation, the software recommends diameter for the pipes. The software also informs you about the pipes having higher velocity and pressures than design-criterion.

Hydraulic calculations are in the form of tables and recorded in a text file.

CALCULATION PLAN

You can prepare calculation plan from network model. In this plan you can see, pipe directions, pipe lengths, pipe diameter and pipe length-coefficients.

You can prepare the plan by the use of only one command in a very short time.

CONSTRUCTION PLAN

You can arrange primary/secondary pipe separation valves automatically. You can define/delete valve at start/end of pipes, can add/delete water-drain-valves at desired DNs, can define/delete fire-hydrants on pipes.

You can prepare the plan by the use of only one command in a very short time.

GENERAL LAYOUT PLAN (1/5000)

The software will show main and primary pipes and DNnos automatically. Also, you can decide for other pipes/DNs to show on general layout plan.

Then, you can prepare general layout plan in a very short time.

NODE DETAIL DRAWING

All of the fittings are recorded in a text file for you. You can add/delete your fittings to that file, can change the appearance order, so you can show your own style.

Typical DN details and the fittings are recorded in a text file for you too. You can add/delete to typical DN details, can change appearance order, so you can show your own style.

Shortly, you can teach the fittings and the usage of them to the software. After then, the software will prepare DN detail drawing in this way.

In the drawings;

There will be an empty place on the right side of the drawing for legend.
There will be a border line for the drawing, also another border line for cutting.
The output is in DXF file format.

FITTINGS LIST DRAWING

Everything will be ready after DN detail drawing works. It is easy for you to prepare fittings list drawing. The only thing that you have to do is; to select the phase and to use our command for each of your selection.

In the drawings;

There will be an empty place on the right side of the drawing for legend.
There will be a border line for the drawing, also another border line for cutting.
The output is in DXF file format.

INFORMATION TRANSFER

You can transfer easily all the network information to another drawing/computer, or vice versa.

GENERAL

There is no limit to the number of DNs and pipes.
There is no limit to the number of dead-end-nodes.
There is no limit to the number of pipe diameters and pipe materials.
It is possible to have more than one network on the same drawing. There is no limit to the number of networks.
It is possible to define different discharge zones, different length-coefficient zones.
It is possible to define 1st-phase, 2nd-phase and existing pipe.
During design works; it is possible to change pipe diameter.
During design works; the software can show the logical mistakes of the network to the user to correct them.
It is possible to see the DNs having less pressure than allowable-minimum-operation pressure and having higher pressure than allowable-maximum-static pressure.
It is possible to see pressure difference at dead-end-nodes.
At the end of the hydraulic calculation, software will supply excavation amounts and pipe lengths.
The software can prepare classified pipe list according to phase, diameter and material.
The software can renumber DN numbers automatically.
All calculations are in a text file, in the form of tables. You can open, you can copy, you can print directly at any time.
You can print the above text files by using an A4-printer with the help of our software commands too.
You can use our software commands with AutoCAD or ZWCAD commands too.
